Jaafar Alloul holds an M.A. in Middle East Studies from the Belgian University of Ghent, along with a European M.A. of Excellence in Migration Studies, coordinated by the German University of Oldenburg. His final dissertation for the latter course treated the theme of ‘Belgian Syria-Fighters’ and was awarded for its innovative quality.
