Noha Fikry is a 24-year-old anthropology MA student expected to graduate in August 2018. Her MA thesis titled “Rooftop Recipes for Relating: Ecologies of Humans, Animals, and Life” looks at the continuities of life through multispecies relations on rooftops of Cairo and how these relations bring to fore a unique perception of and engagement with the surrounding environment. Her research interests also include ecological anthropology, economic anthropology, human-animal relations, and environmental humanities, among others.
